Maintenance Apprentice
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Apprentice to support in the upkeep of our facilities.
The role of the maintenance apprentice at glass meadows is to provide an entry level role
into the manufacturing and cannabis industry. Our expectations are that, within a 6 to 12-
month period, the hired candidate will have the necessary experience to move into an open
maintenance tech 1 position. This position reports to the Senior Facilities Manager.
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6am-6:30pm
Pay: $21/hr
Responsibilities:
The maintenance apprentice role will expose you to a variety of challenges in a
manufacturing environment. A wide range of solutions are used to address these problems.
You can expect to work with and gain experience in:
- Preventative and Reactive
Maintenance
- Hand and Power Tools
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Fabrication
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- Landscaping
- Inventory Management
- Cannabis Manufacturing
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; prior exposure to construction or manual labor
environments is a plus but not necessary
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential
- Basic physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended
periods
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and prioritize safety at all times
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
